7 arrivals, 41 departures: All of Manchester City’s 2018 summer transfers

In the eyes of the general public, Manchester City were quiet this summer in the transfer market, making just one major signing when they broke their club record to recruit Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City for £60million.

The second-most expensive signing was young Dutch defender Philippe Sandler, who cost a reported £2.7million – peanuts for City. After that, a host of youngsters were brought in at little to no cost, including Socceroo sensation Daniel Arzani and French wonderkid Claudio Gomes.

Though it may not have appeared so on the surface, City were very, very busy this summer, with Txiki Begiristain and his staff moving out FORTY-ONE (41) players – and it hasn’t finished yet. With most European windows still open, there are several names, such as Patrick Roberts and Jason Denayer, still to find new homes, while Arzani’s loan move to Celtic is expected to be announced imminently.

In total, as of 10 August, there are 47 documented deals involving Manchester City this summer – 7 in, 41 out. 22 of the outgoings were permanent, either sales or releases – including Yaya Touré – while 19 players headed out on loan.

Here is a complete list of the incomings and outgoings, which will continue to be updated in our comprehensive Transfer Database as more deals are confirmed.
