De Bruyne, 27, and Sterling, 23, were two of City’s most important contributors last season, providing 26 goals and 28 assists between them in City’s record-breaking Premier League campaign.
And the two could now be in contention to face Arsenal on Sunday after beginning their pre-season preparations today at the City Football Academy.
The Champions face a tricky test on the opening weekend against Arsenal at the Emirates, but will be full of confidence after a pulsating display at Wembley on Sunday that saw them beat Chelsea 2-0 to lift the Community Shield.
