Aston Villa join the growing queue in loan race for Manchester City youngster

Lukas Nmecha is a young man in demand with seemingly half of the Championship keen to snap the Manchester City talent up on loan this season.

West Brom, Blackburn Rovers and Swansea City had been trailing the 19-year-old striker, with the latter thought to be close to getting him, before Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds entered the fray.

Guardiola is a known admirer of ‘El Loco’ Bielsa and it appeared Leeds had won the race for England under-21 international Nmecha.

However, ANOTHER Championship club aiming to return to the top flight may have now taken the lead, with Alan Nixon reporting that Lukas was in the Aston Villa side of the directors box for their game against Hull tonight.

Nmecha watched on as Villa beat Hull 3-1 away from home and Steve Bruce’s side now seem to be another option for the prodigious young talent.

It’s surely not just a matter of time before Nmecha heads out for his first loan spell away from the Etihad Stadium – but to which club: Leeds, Aston Villa, Blackburn, Swansea or West Brom?
