Australian wonderkid Daniel Arzani has updated his Instagram in the past hour to announce his arrival at an unspecified location in Europe ahead of an expected move to Manchester City.
The 19-year-old is widely reported to be on the verge of a move from sister club Melbourne City, after which he will join Scottish champions Celtic on loan.
Arzani’s brother Ben posted a shot of them leaving Australia over 20 hours ago, and the duration of their flight could well mean they have landed either at Heathrow or Manchester airports.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed the club’s interest in Arzani, Australia’s most exciting talent since Harry Kewell, and if all goes to plan he could spend as long as two years in Glasgow.
Before any loan move to Celtic though, Arzani must undergo medical checks and other formalities at his new parent club Manchester City, which could take place as soon as today.
So what is all the fuss about? Check out some footage of Arzani, who was the youngest player at the 2018 World Cup, in action:
