Manchester City defender sees transfer collapse after undergoing a medical – report

Rangers have pulled the plug on a deal to sign versatile youngster Kean Bryan from Manchester City after he underwent a medical, the Scottish Sun reports.

The 21-year-old was all set to join Steven Gerrard’s side north of the border, despite rival interest from Championship clubs in England, with a three-year contract worth around £2.5million in wages and signing-on fee all agreed.

However, for reasons yet to be made official – with speculation suggesting an issue with the player’s hip – Rangers have abandoned their pursuit of the Mancunian youngster, who has spent the last decade at City.

Gerrard will continue his search for a left-sided centre-back elsewhere, while Bryan may join another club if the medical issue doesn’t prevent that.
