Oleksandr Zinchenko hints at Manchester City stay and snubbing £16m Wolves move

Oleksandr Zinchenko has hinted that he will snub interest from Premier League clubs and fight for his place at Manchester City.

Wolves agreed a £16million fee with City for Zinchenko and it was then suggested that Fulham could make a superior offer for the 21-year-old.

Since then, it has been reported that Wolves have now given up trying to persuade Oleks, who sounds keen to stick around.

“To be honest, I think Manchester City is one of the best teams in the world right now,” Zinchenko told the Mirror.

“Everyone dreams of playing here, and that goes for me as well.

“I try to learn every single day and I’m going to fight here.

“I’m ready for everything because I have to be professional. You don’t know what can happen in the future, but I’m dreaming of staying here.

“Everyone wants to be part of this team.”

The Ukraine international was impressive in a holding midfield role against Liverpool last night, and his performance may have encouraged Pep Guardiola who has publicly said that he happy with the midfield options at his disposal, despite missing out on Jorginho to Chelsea earlier this summer.
