Manchester City talent to end decade-long stay at the Etihad with move to Rangers – report

Scottish Premiership Rangers are expected to sign versatile Manchester City player Kean Bryan on a permanent deal as soon as today, the Scottish Sun reports.

News of Steven Gerrard’s interest in the 21-year-old surfaced a couple of days ago and it looks like he has convinced Kean to move north of the border, despite significant interest from English Championship clubs.

Bryan, who has been at City since he was 11, will end a decade-long stay at his beloved club by signing a three-year deal worth around £2.5million in wages and signing-on fee.

Though capable of playing in several positions, Bryan is expecting to be deployed as a left-sided midfielder by Liverpool legend Gerrard, according to the Scottish Sun.

A ‘source’ said: “Kean is a huge admirer of Gerrard and always thought if he moved on from City he would stay in the Premier League or the Championship.

“But the chance of playing – and learning – from one of Britain’s best ever midfielders is too good to turn down.”

Kean spent last season on loan at Oldham Athletic and was named their Young Player of the Year after making 32 appearances in League One.
