Manchester City and Arsenal have contacted the entourage of the latest wonderkid off AS Monaco’s production line, forward Nabil Alioui, according to RMC Sport.
The 19-year-old is making a big impression for France at the Euro U19s and his form for club and country has alerted scouts across Europe.
And Premier League duo City and Arsenal have made their move for the player, as have a third English side, ambitious Fulham, who have just returned to the top-flight.
Alioui could visit Arsenal’s facilities after his duties at the Euro U19s, but Manchester City could have one big advantage – the player’s agent.
The teenager, who is also eligible to play for Morocco, is represented by Patrik de Koster, who also represents Kevin De Bruyne, and City have excellent relations with him which could prove decisive.
Monaco want to hold on to their highly-rated prospect, but he has yet to sign a professional contract. Should they convince him to stay in the principality, they plan to loan him to Cercle Brugge in Belgium next season for some first team experience.
