Wolves have pulled the plug on their pursuit of Manchester City player Oleksandr Zinchenko despite recent reports that they had agreed a £16million fee with the Blues.
According to David Anderson of the Mirror, the problem for Wolves has been convincing the 21-year-old to join them, rather than any issues with City.
Pep Guardiola is open-minded about Zinchenko’s future, offering him the chance to stay – with limited game time – or to continue his career elsewhere.
Oleks has other options on the table and his future remains unclear, but it appears he won’t be heading to Molineux with Wolves instead turning to Bristol City’s Joe Bryan in their search of a left-back.
Wolves have given up on trying to persuade Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko to join them and are now targeting Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan. Bournemouth, West Ham, Newcastle and RB Leipzig also keen.
