Pep Guardiola nominated for 2018 FIFA Coach of the Year award

Pep Guardiola has been named on the shortlist for FIFA’s Coach of the Year award, covering the period of 3 July 2017 to 15 July 2018.

The Catalan coach enjoyed a much improved second season in England with his philosophy in place at Manchester City, with his side smashing records en route to becoming the Centurions and lifting the Premier League trophy with a record points haul.

Guardiola also picked up the League Cup along the way and was named Premier League Manager of the Month more times in succession than any coach in the league’s history.

Pep is joined on the list by the likes of World Cup-winning France coach Didier Deschamps, Jurgen Klopp, Zinedine Zidane, and England boss Gareth Southgate.
