Riyad Mahrez faced the press at the City Football Academy today after joining Manchester City from Leicester City for a club-record fee on Tuesday.
The Algerian posed for photographs before taking a seat and answering questions about his move to the Etihad Stadium.

“I’m very happy to be here, to have signed for this club,” said Mahrez. “To be the record (signing), I don’t think so much about this. I am happy, I am starting a new challenge in my life.”
Pep Guardiola was a big pull for Mahrez, and the 27-year-old was asked about the City boss and his expectations.
“We haven’t talked about (Pep’s expectations for next season) yet. He is happy for me. We’re going to start to work this week and then we will see.
“He’s a big manager who won a lot of things and made history at this club. I wanted to work under him. I didn’t hesitate.”
Not just Pep, but Manchester City as a club appealed to Mahrez, who matches their ambitions to win the UEFA Champions League.
“It’s a club which wants to win the Champions League. City are a big club and have everything to try to win it. It’s a goal. Now we will have to work and see what can happen.”
Mahrez believes an England that featured three of his new teammates were quite unlucky to exit the World Cup yesterday after being eliminated by Croatia.
“Everyone has been watching the World Cup. England have been very, very good. They deserve a lot of credit for what they have achieved because reaching the semi final is very, very difficult. They could have won the game. Credit to them.”
