French forward Thierry Ambrose is attracting plenty of interest this summer, including from his homeland.
Bordeaux and Nice have been suggested as possible destinations for the 21-year-old, but Bordeaux’s failure to sell Malcom has slowed down their transfer activity.
And according to France Football a team down a division, RC Lens, are now interested in signing the Manchester City talent. Coached by Philippe Montanier, the Ligue 2 side are eyeing a return to France’s top-flight and believe Ambrose could help spearhead a promotion push.
Lens’ best hope is that other suitors fail to follow up on their interest in Thierry, giving them a better chance of convincing him to play in France’s second tier.
Anderlecht are also interested in Ambrose, although a move to Belgium is unlikely to be his first choice.
The youngster spent last season on loan at NAC Breda, scoring 10 goals and contributing 4 assists. His Manchester City contract runs until 2020.
