Manchester City right-back Danilo is OUT of the World Cup after sustaining an injury to his left ankle.
It is the 26-year-old’s second setback of the World Cup and this one will keep him out for the rest of it, regardless of how far Brazil advance.
The former FC Porto and Real Madrid man has asked to undergo treatment in Russia so that he can stay and support his Seleção teammates, who take on Belgium on Friday night in the quarter-finals.
Gabriel Jesus and Fernandinho will start for Tite’s side, while Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne should start for Belgium in a match featuring a host of Blues. For Danilo however, the tournament is over.
