From Italy: Jorginho saga rolls on as agent flies to Istanbul, date of medical suggested

The transfer of Jorginho from Napoli to Manchester City is just a ‘matter of time’ according to Naples-based Radio CRC.

It’s a familiar story in a saga that is developing into one of the longest since the infamous Kevin De Bruyne to City situation a few years back which ran for much of the summer before the midfielder finally joined the Blues.

However, much like TMW, which told us that further talks are planned today (Monday), Radio CRC believes that a deal is imminent.

According to the radio station, Jorginho’s transfer could be done at any time – even within hours, but at most within a few days.

The player’s agent, Joao Santos, has flown back to Istanbul, where he lives, and will only leave for the signing of Jorginho’s contract.

Another Italian outlet, Gazzamercato, believes the Brazil-born Italian could have his City medical on Wednesday or Thursday. They reveal that his wages are set to rise from €1.5million per season at Napoli to €4.2million per season plus bonuses.
