Watch: Sergio Aguero scores second World Cup goal but it is in vain as Argentina go out

Sergio Aguero and Nicolas Otamendi became the second and third Manchester City players, after Ilkay Gundogan, to exit the World Cup today after Argentina were beaten 4-3 by France in a thriller.

Neither player can be faulted, with Otamendi having a fine game and Aguero once again punished for his outburst at coach Jorge Sampaoli by being left on the bench.

Around 25 minutes after coming on, Aguero found the net but his goal came deep into added time and proved to be little more than a consolation.

Despair for Nico and Kun, but joy for Benjamin Mendy, who was absent through injury today, but is a quarter-finalist with France.
