Manchester City are no strangers to signing Belgian talents and are looking at adding another wonderkid from the footballing hotbed to their ranks.
The Blues are competing with Borussia Dortmund and AS Monaco for Zulte Waragem starlet Koni De Winter, who according to the source of the information, Het Laatste Nieuws, is a ‘top talent’.
If City want to sign the 16-year-old left-back though, they will have to work fast, with Monaco ahead in the race and rated as having the best chance of snapping up the player as it stands.
De Winter, who turned 16 on June 12, has represented Belgium at youth level and is currently an under-16 international for his country.
City have plundered Belgian academies several times in recent years, with Jason Denayer the most high profile and still on the books, now valued at €10million. Mathias Bossaerts arrived from Anderlecht with a big reputation, but failed to make the grade and returned to his homeland in 2016 with KV Oostende.
