Remember when John Stones scored twice for Manchester City against Feyenoord in the Champions League last September? Well, he’s done it again – at the World Cup!
The 24-year-old morphed into a goal poacher after his City teammate Raheem Sterling saw an effort saved, heading in his second goal of the game to make it 4-0 to the rampant Three Lions, who would add another moments later when Harry Kane scored his second penalty.
For Stones though, it is a remarkable achievement to score two goals as a centre-back at the World Cup, and City fans will hope he can find the net plenty more often next season.
