TMW: Jorginho to Manchester City a ‘done deal’, player to sign contract at weekend

Following up on a report from the Corriere dello Sport today that Jorginho can be considered a Manchester City player, another Italian outlet TMW says the player will formally become a Citizen this weekend.

They say that the base fee is around €50million (£43.8million) – similar to what others have reported – and add that future bonuses have been defined. Those will center around Manchester City qualifying for the Champions League, the number of appearances Jorginho makes, and any success in the Premier League and Champions League.

The big claim of their story is that Jorginho will sign his five-year contract this weekend, which they follow up with a definitive “Done deal.”

Corriere dello Sport suggested that the contract signing and announcement may not happen until early July, with the player currently on holiday in Brazil and expected to say his goodbyes in Naples.

If the information from TMW proves to be true though, there may not be such a wait in store for eager Blues, and Jorginho could make his long-awaited move to the Etihad Stadium official this weekend.
