It was reported yesterday that Leicester have ditched their pursuit of Patrick Roberts and are demanding top dollar from City, who are reluctant to pay over the odds for the 27-year-old. Having walked away in January, there are fears it could happen again if Leicester do not lower their demands.
Today, journalist Alan Nixon, who was in fact the first to report on City’s move for Mahrez in January, has posted an encouraging update on Twitter.
His information from people involved in the deal is that it will still go ahead, and there are two prices – one with Patrick Roberts included and one without. Contrary to last night’s story, he suggests that 21-year-old Roberts could still be involved in the deal.
