Napoli appear to have secured a replacement for Jorginho with Real Betis coach Quique Setién telling Radio Fútbol FM that Fabián Ruiz will be sold for €30million tomorrow
Setién did not say which club the 22-year-old will join, but widespread reports have suggested he is joining Napoli – as the successor for Jorginho.
Jorginho’s move to Manchester City now appears to be a question of when rather than if following weeks of difficult negotiations between Txiki Begiristain and his Napoli counterpart Cristiano Giuntoli.
Earlier today, Sky Sports reported that both City and Napoli expect the deal to be finalised by the end of the week.
The final details of the transfer have been under discussion, such as the make-up of bonuses and 5% solidarity payments to his former clubs. It has also been suggested that a friendly match could be worked into the deal.
If all goes to plan and there are no further hitches, City could unveil Jorginho before the end of the week.
