Closer and closer. The indications from Italy on Wednesday are that Manchester City will finally get their man by the end of the week with a deal for Jorginho on the verge of being finalised.
Leading Napoli website CalcioNapoli24 reports today that a deal should be finalised for the 26-year-old within the next 72 hours after City made a ‘further economic effort’ that Napoli have appreciated.

Txiki Begiristain and Cristiano Giuntoli, the sporting directors of City and Napoli, have been in constant communication by email and telephone, and have made progress. A positive conclusion is expected with negotiations heading towards a successful conclusion.
The Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper claims that City have raised their bid to €50million (£44million) after sticking to their €45million (£39.7million) offer for a long time.
To avoid the risk of City walking away, particularly with Jorginho so keen on a move to the Premier League champions, Napoli are expected to accept that offer and allow the Brazilian-born Italy international to finally link up with Pep Guardiola.
