Manchester City starlet Thierry Ambrose could be set for a return to France with Ligue 1 side Bordeaux considering an offer, L’Equipe reports.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a good season on loan at NAC Breda in the Netherlands and is attracting the interest of several clubs, in particular Gus Poyet’s Bordeaux, who have been following him and are currently reflecting on whether to send an official bid to City.
Bordeaux could face competition from Belgian giants Anderlecht, who are also keen on the energetic young forward.
Ambrose made 30 starts for NAC Breda in the 2017-18 Eredivisie season, scoring 10 goals and contributing 4 assists. His Manchester City deal runs until 2020 and with a breakthrough to Pep Guardiola’s first-team appearing difficult, he may be the latest highly-rated talent to move on.
City already sold right-back Pablo Maffeo to VfB Stuttgart for €10million, with left-back Angelino on the verge of a €5million-plus switch to Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven.
Javairô Dilrosun joined Hertha in Germany with his City contract expiring, while the likes of Patrick Roberts, Manu García and Brandon Barker are also attracting interest and could leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.
