Manchester City have submitted a list of released players to the Premier League, with the most prominent being Yaya Touré who is being let go upon the expiration of his contract.
Touré, who the latest reports state is in talks with Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham, is the only senior name on the list after an eventful summer last year in which many veterans were released.
Perhaps the most surprising name on the list is highly-rated full-back Demeaco Duhaney, who featured against Real Madrid in last year’s pre-season fixture. It is unclear why he has been released, with one possibility being he turned down a new contract.
Others on the list are Sadou Diallo, Marcus Wood, Erik Sarmiento, Pawel Sokol and Will Patching, with the latter two having already found new clubs, goalkeeper Sokoi returning to Korona Kielce in Poland and Patching joining League Two side Notts County.
