Manchester City will have more players than any other club side on the planet at this summer’s World Cup in Russia – despite Leroy Sané’s shock absence from Germany’s squad.
City will be represented by 16 players at the World Cup, one more than European champions Real Madrid and two more than Barcelona.
It could be argued that City should have 18 players there with Sané harshly excluded by Joachim Löw and Aymeric Laporte not making the France squad despite his obvious talents.
Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and David Silva will be among the Blues aiming to lift the most famous trophy in international football this summer.
Catalan newspaper SPORT has put together a graphic showing the three best represented clubs at the World Cup, with Man City topping the list.
