Joao Santos, the agent of Jorginho, is currently 235 miles – or almost 400 kilometers – from Manchester in the southeast town of Colchester, awaiting developments on the transfer of his client to Manchester City.
Santos revealed his whereabouts in an interview with CalcioNapoli24 and gave an update on where things stand amid reports that Cristiano Giuntoli, the sporting director of Napoli, is flying in to London today.
“I’m in England, specifically Colchester, 400km from Manchester,” Jorginho’s agent said. “The negotiations are in the hands of Napoli, I’m waiting for a signal to understand what to do.
“This week something will happen. Until Friday I will be in England and will then leave for other negotiations.”
He also confirmed that City have set a deadline for the Jorginho deal to go through, and have other targets in mind in case anything goes wrong.
“In the transfer market I don’t exist, I’m waiting for Napoli and City to do what’s best for both clubs.
“A deadline? Manchester City have one because they look at three names for each position.
“At the moment they have told me nothing, but I think that Jorginho is their first choice.”
