Manchester City academy goalkeeper Pawel Sokól returns to former club after two-year stay

Manchester City academy goalkeeper Pawel Sokól has returned to Korona Kielce after two years in English football.

The Polish youth international, who joined on deadline day in summer 2016, appeared in both the under-18 and under-23 City teams this season but wasn’t the first choice.

Sokól made 8 appearances in the U18 Premier League, 2 appearances in the Premier League 2 (U23), and a single appearance in the UEFA Youth League in the 2017/18 season.

After two ‘amazing’ years in Manchester, he has returned to his former club where he will look to play more senior level football now that he is 18.

Both Pawel and the club announced his return to Poland on Instagram.
