Manchester City legend Yaya Touré had his final send-off at yesterday’s Champions Parade in Manchester, receiving a huge ovation when he came on the stage.
With the season now well and truly over, the Ivorian will soon leave the club when his contract expires in June, but he has posted a message to fans on his Twitter account with one final goodbye.
In a two-minute message, Touré thanks the fans for supporting and pushing him, highlighting the fact he achieved his personal trophies at City such as four African Footballer of the Year awards in a row.
Yaya also hinted at a future return in some capacity, saying he’d love to come back at some point. Could he be in line for a coaching role when he hangs up the boots?
“What I was thinking for this club and for you is happening now,” Touré said proudly before signing off.
