Manchester City continue to show interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha and have asked to be kept informed of developments in case he decides to quit Selhurst Park this summer, Sky Sports News reports.
It was reported in the weekend papers that City are closing in on a £50million deal for the 25-year-old, but that appears to be premature. However, Pep Guardiola remains interested in April’s Premier League Player of the Month, with City scouts providing ‘glowing reports’ of Zaha.
According to SSN, no contact has been made yet, contrary to the aforementioned report, but if given any encourage by the player or his club, may swoop for the Ivory Coast international.
Zaha, who finished the season with 9 goals and 3 assists in 28 starts, would come with an added perk of being classified homegrown under Premier League rules.
The player seems in no hurry to leave, although interest from the Premier League champions could make him reconsider his stance.
“I’m enjoying my football, you can see how much I’m enjoying it. This is my home and there’s no reason for me to leave,” Zaha told the official Palace website recently.
