David Silva has enjoyed yet another fantastic season at Manchester City, the club legend playing an instrumental part in Pep Guardiola’s side as they won the Premier League with 100 points on top of the Carabao Cup.
Silva has often been absent though after his son Mateo was born prematurely in 2017 and has subsequently been very ill. Pep Guardiola has allowed the Spaniard to return home as much as he wanted to check on his son.
Tonight comes some great news from El Mago himself, as he has revealed on social media that after five months in hospital, Mateo is finally going home!
Silva’s tweet reads: “We’re finally going home! We will be eternally grateful to the amazing team of the Maternity and Pediatric ICU units of the Casa de Salud Hospital for the professionalism and humane treatment that these 5 long months have shown us. Just Thanks! 👶🏽”
