Riyad Mahrez continues to be the subject of speculation after a mooted January move to Manchester City collapsed late in the transfer window.
Mahrez, 27, returned to the Leicester team after temporarily going into exile, and has since scored 3 and assisted 3 goals in 14 appearances since.
The Algerian continues to be linked with a move to the Etihad, although other names such as Leon Bailey are also being considered, meaning a return for Mahrez is not a given.
The Leicester star has been quizzed about his future by Sky Sports, and seems uncertain what his next step will be.
“I am still contracted to Leicester and at the moment I am here so we will see,” said Mahrez.
“At that time I handed in a transfer request because I had offers from Manchester City, so obviously I wanted to go, but now I am still in Leicester.
“With me especially you never know what is happening. Every time I have to go but I am still here, so I don’t really want to talk about I’m going, I’m staying, you know.
“I just want to finish the next three games and we will see what will happen to me.
“It [the transfer request] is gone. It was in January. Now it is another transfer window.
“I am still here and I don’t want to put a lot of things in my head. I am very cool and relaxed about it.”
Will Pep Guardiola go again for Riyad Mahrez or has that ship sailed? City are hoping to get their business done quickly and efficiently before the World Cup, so we may found out sooner rather than later.
