Referee appointed for Manchester City vs. Huddersfield Town (6/5/2018)

Veteran match official Mike Dean will take charge of his third Manchester City game of the season on Sunday, when the Champions of England host Huddersfield Town.

Dean, who was the referee on that famous day in 2012 when City beat QPR to clinch the title, will oversee a more relaxed affair this weekend with the Blues already champions, something that will be confirmed when Vincent Kompany lifts the Premier League trophy after full-time.

Dean’s previous two City appointments this season were the 2-1 win over Bournemouth early in the campaign, when he sent off Raheem Sterling for celebrating with the fans after scoring deep in stoppage time, and a 2-1 win over West Ham in early December.
