Dutch giants Ajax and PSV Eindhoven are both interested in signing left-back Angelino on loan from Manchester City next season if given any encouragement, De Telegraaf reports.
Speaking to Telegraaf TV, journalist Mike Verweij revealed that Ajax have joined PSV in their interest of the 21-year-old, after PSV technical director Marcel Brands previously admitted the club were keen on Angelino.
Angelino, who has a contract until 2019, is valued between €10million and €15million by City, fees too high for either Ajax or PSV, meaning they would only be able to take him on loan.
With the player’s contract ticking down though, City may look to sell him this summer unless Pep Guardiola decides to integrate him into his first-team plans. A contract extension and further loan move is also a possibility, but at 21 the player may want some clarity on his long-term future.
During his loan spell at NAC Breda, Angelino has scored 3 league goals and added 6 assists, while creating more chances than any defender in the entire Eredivisie since Opta started to collect this data (2010/11).
