Manchester City equal three more records with 4-1 win over West Ham

How will history remember this glorious Manchester City name? Will they be given a nickname? If the unprecedented 100 points is reached, The Centurions may be fitting. If not, perhaps The Record Breakers?

Today’s 4-1 win over West Ham at the London Stadium saw Pep Guardiola’s team equal three more records – one of them a club record, two of them Premier League records.

They are as follows:

1. 102 goals in a single league season (equals the club record)
2. 30 wins in a single Premier League season (equals the Premier League record held by Chelsea)
3. 15 away wins in a single Premier League season (equals the Premier League record held by Chelsea)

City are destined to break the club record for most goals in a season, Premier League record for most goals (one away from Chelsea’s record of 103), and 30 wins in a single Premier League season.

The away wins record comes down to one final away game against Southampton on the last day of the season, when the Shark Team can set a new record.

Other records, such as best goal difference, also look destined to be smashed.

One thing is for sure, as records continue to be matched and broken, Manchester City 2017/18 are destined to go down as one of the all-time greatest Premier League sides.
