Referee appointed for West Ham vs. Manchester City (29/4/2018)

Neil Swarbrick has been appointed referee for Manchester City’s trip to the London Stadium this Sunday where they will face West Ham.

Premier League champions City will be up against club legend Pablo Zabaleta, who now plays for the Hammers, though on-loan Joe Hart will play no part as per league rules about loan players.

This will be just Swarbrick’s second game in charge of City this season, and you have to go all the way back to September for his first – a 5-0 drubbing of Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.

For West Ham, the 47-year-old is a more familiar face this campaign, having taken charge of defeats to Newcastle and Liverpool, and more recently a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in January.
