Benjamin Mendy could make his long-awaited return injury against Swansea this afternoon, just under seven months after being sidelined when he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Yesterday, French newspaper L’Equipe broke the news that the 23-year-old will be in Pep Guardiola’s matchday squad to face the Swans, and Mendy may now have confirmed it.
On his Twitter account today, Mendy tweeted simply: “it’s been a long run, but the Shark is finally back on track 🦈”

The French international also did a countdown on his Instagram account, documenting his long road back from injury.
Now we wait and see if Mendy, the chief of the Shark Team, will take his place on the bench or maybe even in the starting lineup today as Manchester City play their first game since being crowned Champions of England.
