Swansea City have announced that they will clap Manchester City on to the Etihad Stadium pitch this Sunday with a guard of honour for the new Premier League champions.
City did not receive such a welcome for their last two title wins because of how late in the day they came, but Swansea boss Carlos Carvalhal said his team will gladly welcome Pep Guardiola and his men out.
“We are proud to the do guard of honour for Manchester City on Sunday,” Carvalhal told the official Swansea site.
“They are the best team in the Premier League and they play fantastic football.
“Congratulations to them, to Pep Guardiola, all the players and the club. They deserve to be champions – the numbers show you that.”
City will receive a guard of honour, but the trophy presentation will be held this weekend, with that having been confirmed for after the Huddersfield game in May.
