Galatasaray will look to make the loan spell of Manchester City defender Jason Denayer permanent in the summer by lodging a €3million (£2.6million) bid, FutbolArena reports.
The 22-year-old is something of a forgotten man among City fans after four successive loan spells over four season, and has just returned to action for Galatasaray after a couple of months out through injury.
Despite appearing in only 15 of Galatasaray’s Süper Lig games this season, coach Fatih Terim wants to keep him and the Turkish giants are ready to accelerate talks to sign him.
Denayer, who has two years left on his Man City contract, wants to stay at the Türk Telekom Stadium according to FutbolArena which will help Galatasaray’s negotiating position.
The versatile defender does not appear to be in Pep Guardiola’s plans, although could feature in pre-season plans with many first teamers set to be missing when the Blues face Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the International Champions Cup.
Capped eight times by Belgium, Denayer joined Manchester City in 2013 after a success trial and many expected him to break through to the first team, but he has yet to make an appearance for City’s senior side.
