Manchester City youngster’s season over after sustaining knee injury at weekend

A productive loan spell at NAC Breda for Manchester City prospect Thierry Ambrose is all but over after the 21-year-old sustained a knee injury in the first half of NAC’s defeat to Willem II at the weekend.

Ambrose, one of a host of Man City youngsters on loan at their Dutch partner club, has been in good form this season with 10 goals and 4 assists in 30 Eredivisie appearances.

NAC announced that chances are Ambrose, a former France youth international, will play no further part this season.

The talented youngster has had injury problems in the past, with a severe knee problem keeping him out for almost a year in 2015 and slowing his promising development.

Ambrose recently revealed that there is interest from France, England and Holland for his services next season, with City set to decide the next move for him this summer.
