Revealed: The date Manchester City will lift the Premier League trophy

There will be no trophy ceremony for the new Premier League champions Manchester City this weekend at the Etihad Stadium, nor at the final home game of the season.

Vincent Kompany will raise the trophy after City’s second-to-last home fixture of the season against Huddersfield Town on Sunday, 6 May.

City’s final home game of the season is a rearranged mid-week clash with Brighton on Wednesday, May 9, before they close out the season away at Southampton on May 13.

With the Huddersfield match being at weekend, the decision has been made for the trophy presentation being held then, with club captain Kompany set to lift England’s most prestigious prize for the third time in seven seasons.

The fixture is almost sold out already with fans anticipating a party atmosphere at the Etihad when Huddersfield come to town.
