Tottenham Hotspur will be without England left-back Danny Rose when Manchester City visit Wembley Stadium on Saturday night and look to put an end to a run of defeats.
Rose, 27, played the full 90 minutes for Spurs against Stoke at the weekend but a previous calf problem has flared up and he will be unavailable on Saturday.
Despite Rose’s talents, it isn’t a huge miss for Spurs with Ben Davies a highly capable left-back and having played the bulk of their games this season because of Rose’s issues.
It is the toughest remaining game of the season on paper for City and they will be desperate to turn their form around after a derby day defeat to Manchester United and Champions League elimination at the hands of Liverpool.
City have shipped six goals in the last two games, a concerning number, particularly with Tottenham forward Harry Kane eager to catch Mohamed Salah in the Golden Boot race.
