Manchester City vs. Liverpool (Champions League): Starting Lineups & TV Information

Manchester City face a herculean task tonight of overturning a 3-0 first leg defeat to Liverpool at Anfield in their Champions League quarter-final tie.

It has been a hellish period for City, something we haven’t said once before this season, having also lost the Manchester derby at the weekend, and any kind of positive result tonight – even if it doesn’t lead to the semi-finals – will be a much needed recovery.

City must be wary of any away goals for Liverpool which practically count as double after the Kopites kept a clean sheet at home in the first leg, but the Blues will have to go for it and try to get Liverpool on the back foot.

Spain’s Mateu Lahoz is the referee in charge tonight and here are the starting lineups chosen by Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp:

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Silva (c), Sane, Sterling, Bernardo, Jesus

Liverpool XI: Karius, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Milner (c), Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Salah, Firmino

The match can be viewed on BT Sport 2 in the UK. A full list of TV coverage from around the world can be found here.
