Triple injury boost for Liverpool ahead of Manchester City second leg

Liverpool have been boosted ahead of their Champions League quarter-final second leg clash with Manchester City tomorrow night after three players in doubt trained on Monday afternoon.

The big news for tomorrow’s visitors to the Etihad Stadium is that Mohamed Salah trained and looked comfortable, suggesting he will be ready to line up tomorrow.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said earlier today on Salah: “Not sure, 100%. He was with the fitness coach training yesterday. We will see when we train at 5pm. Then we wait for the reaction and make a decision tomorrow.”

Two full-backs who have also been doubts, Andy Robertson and Alberto Moreno, were also involved in training at Melwood.

Liverpool will be without midfield trio Emre Can, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson, with the latter suspended after picking up a yellow card in the first leg.

Manchester City have it all to do tomorrow with Liverpool carrying a 3-0 lead into the second leg, and had two of their own players, John Stones and Danilo, miss training today.
