Manchester City and Manchester United do battle on the pitch at least twice a season, but are often vying for the same players off it too. The latest example is a former City youth player, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who was part of the City academy for a while in 2008 before returning home.
According to Paris United, a famous insider source for everything PSG, both Manchester City and Manchester United are on the lookout for 23-year-old Rabiot, who has developed into an excellent player and a regular starter for the Ligue 1 giants.
Rabiot is more than likely to extend his contract in the French capital, but it hasn’t stopped the Mancunian clubs expressing an interest in him. Both are known to be in the market for a midfielder, with club legends from both sides, Yaya Touré and Michael Carrick, departing in the summer.

Their information is part of an article which states that Manchester United’s derby day hero Paul Pogba could be sold to PSG to make way for Lazio ace Sergej Milinković-Savić, who has also been linked with City and is valued at €120million by the Serie A club.
City have already acquired a midfielder from PSG in the form of Claudio Gomes, rated as one of the best teenagers in French football. The 17-year-old will join in the summer on a five-year deal.
