Manchester City have reached an agreement with the representatives of Barcelona prospect Robert Navarro to sign him after he turned down a professional contract at the Catalan club.
Navarro, considered one of La Masia’s greatest prospects, turns 16 on April 12 so next season will be able to sign his first professional deal – and according to Kike Marin of El Confidencial it will be with Pep Guardiola’s Man City.

The attacking midfielder was named the best player at the MIC tournament last weekend and that is why several English clubs have been chasing him for months, with Arsenal also vying for his signature.
Manchester City sent a representative to La Masia though, and reached an agreement with Navarro’s representatives that will see him join the youth ranks at the CFA next season.
Because Navarro doesn’t have a professional contract, City will only have to pay training fees to Barcelona, peanuts for the wealthy Premier League side.
Navarro is the second great La Masia prospect City have lured to Manchester of late, with Spain under-17 centre-back Eric García arriving last summer and fitting in well at his new club.
