Sergio Aguero will play no part against Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-final first leg tomorrow night at Anfield, as Pep Guardiola confirmed in his press conference today.
When asked if Kun will play in this weekend’s potentially title-clinching Manchester derby against Manchester United, Pep simply replied: “We’ll see.”
However, the fast-becoming-legendary source for all things Aguero, Jose Alvarez Haya, has offered his own information on the Argentine’s status going into the weekend.
Jose reveals that Aguero is already training with the team, but not quite at 100 per cent fitness. However, as it stands, Aguero is more likely than not to line up against Manchester United at the weekend.
It was okay the prevision. Even he is training with the team, Agüero is not at his 100%. But now is more % than he can be involved against Manchester United than not. https://t.co/V1IMOHsfq3

This raises the enticing possibility that Aguero could again score a title-winning goal as he did in 2012 when he bagged the most famous goal in English top-flight history against QPR. Aguero, City’s all-time top goal scorer, is also on 199 goals for the Blues so one more would move him on to 200.
Could we see another iconic Sergio Aguero moment this weekend?
