Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have approached Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola in recent months in their search of a coach to replace Unai Emery, French source le10sport reports.

PSG’s Qatari owners are known to be admirers of the Catalan and have made discreet inquiries about Guardiola’s availability, it is claimed.
It never hurts to ask, but the Parisiens suspected the outcome and received confirmation – Pep Guardiola has no intention of leaving Manchester City and will not be joining Paris Saint-Germain or any other club any time soon.
After learning this, PSG instead turned their focus to other coaches, with former Borussia Dortmund tactician Thomas Tuchel now the heavy favourite to take over.
Unless of any great surprises, Guardiola is expected to extend his Manchester City contract in the coming months, with suggestions being that he will prolong his stay until the end of the 2020/21 season – which would mean at least three more seasons of Pep after this one.
