Manchester City are one of four clubs showing significant interest in Fenerbahce’s Macedonian international Eljif Elmas, German newspaper SPORT BILD reports.
18-year-old attacking midfielder Elmas only moved to the Turkish giants from his local FK Rabotnichki last year, but is already catching the eye of scouts and is considered a high-level prospect.
City are not alone in their interest, with Borussia Dortmund, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord also named as interested parties for the teenager, who already has three caps for Macedonia’s national team.
Due to a lack of eligibility, Elmas’ debut for Fenerbahce was delayed and he began appearing for Aykut Kocaman’s side in January. Though his appearances have been rare and he is not yet a regular in the first team squad, his potential has scouts buzzing, including City’s own.
