Manchester City can seal the 2017/18 Premier League title next weekend with a win over Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium, which itself would break the record of earliest date the title has been won on.
Today’s 3-1 win over Everton saw more swashbuckling football and beautiful goals from Pep Guardiola’s Shark Team and the win brought up an achievement.
Having been held to a draw at the Etihad by Everton earlier this season, after being reduced to 10 men for much of the game, City needed a win today to have beaten all 19 Premier League teams in a single season.
City’s win made them just the third side to achieve that feat after Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea in 2005/06 and Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United in 2010/11.
It is a season full of records broken or matched by City with yet another falling today.
