City Summary – March 30: Stones out of Everton game, Aguero doubtful, City want Weigl and Isco?

Catch up on all of today’s Manchester City news with our City Summary!

At his pre-Everton presser this afternoon, Pep Guardiola confirmed that John Stones will miss the game against his former club because of a concussion. Could there be minutes for Mendy though?

Pep said a decision will be made on the “much, much better” Sergio Aguero tomorrow.

A journalist known to be close to Aguero, Jose Alvarez, earlier claimed that not only is Kun out of tomorrow’s fixture, but also in doubt for the Champions League clash with Liverpool.

Sergio posted a video of himself working out and looked in good condition.

Speaking of Jose Alvarez, he broke an exclusive story today that Borussia Dortmund midfield ace Julian Weigl is now Pep Guardiola’s top transfer target this summer.

This was backed up by another Spanish journo, the one who broke the latest Isco-to-City rumour the other day, who said both Weigl and Isco are on Pep’s agenda, with Riyad Mahrez the second option behind Isco.

If City are to sign Isco, it won’t be without a fight. Zinedine Zidane made it clear that Real Madrid want to hold on to the playmaker.

Manchester City and Liverpool are poised to meet again this summer in front of 80,000-plus people, but with the World Cup, there could be many youngsters on show.

Yet another midfielder linked with City is young attacker João Félix of Benfica B, who is making waves in Portugal.

Aaaand there’s another, this one a PSG academy gem, but the likelihood is that he’ll be staying in the French capital.

That’s it for today. Keep your eyes peeled on @City_Watch and the site, day and night, as we work to deliver the latest City news, views, and other high-quality content.
