England international Fabian Delph trained on Thursday afternoon as Manchester City continued preparations for Saturday’s clash with Everton at Goodison Park.
The 28-year-old has not played since 19 February when he was sent off in the FA Cup defeat to Wigan, having picked up an injury that caused him to miss England’s recent internationals against the Netherlands and Italy.
It appears that Delph is in contention for a start though, having been pictured in training today after also doing some work during the break in Abu Dhabi.
Delph features prominently in the training gallery posted on the official site, although neither Sergio Aguero or Benjamin Mendy can be seen in them – but that doesn’t necessarily mean they didn’t train, with a number of players not appearing in the gallery.
City can move one step closer to the Premier League title if they beat Everton on Saturday and that could lead to the league being up for grabs on Manchester derby day.
